About the Research Competition
Inspired by the renowned Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition developed by the University of Queensland, this competition tests your concise and compelling communication. Competitors have just three minutes to captivate a panel of judges with their research projects using a single, static PowerPoint slide.
To ensure a level playing field, the following rules apply:
No animations, transitions, or moving elements on the slide.
No additional electronic aids like audio or video.
No props or physical demonstrations.
Presentations must be spoken word, limited to three minutes sharp. Exceeding this time may result in disqualification.
This competition has two stages: the elimination stage and the finals. The finals will be held at the CDU IT CodeFair 2024 on Monday 4th of November 2024, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Esplanade Darwin.
